I like the detachable systems and detachable bags. Here my detachable Lowrider:

Can you keep us posted on this? I was looking at the Saddlemen option a few days ago but have not placed the order yet because I was not sure what else was needed and was going to call them this weekend. For now I just ordered a regular bracket for $60.

This is how it looks with the modified Saddlemen mounts. When it comes down to it, I dont think I'm going to get the bags in any closer than what they are now and still retain the quick detach hardware.

So did you just use the $99 Saddlemen QD kit and $50 brackets or what parts did you use? I can't quite tell from the pic although I really like the look and closeness of the bags.

KK....that looks pretty darn good but it sounds like you've worked a little harder at it than you should have. I remember you posted about that kit not fitting contrary to Saddlemen stating it did. (Maybe it was someone else posting about it...)
