Need help with install

just bought the skull fuel guage and have not attempted to install it. I am looking for some tips and tricks from people that have intalled this. I am new to harleys to any help would be great. thanks here is the link to the gauge so you can see the exact part. I have a 2008 fat bob

Its a simple install. The instructions are easy to read, so you shouldn't have any problems. The hardest part for me was getting the wire off/on the clips under the tank.

I don't have the skull, but don't think the flush mount would be much different. Literally, picking the wires out of the existing connector was the hardest part - and that's pretty easy. Take your time and post back if you have questions once you get into it.

where does te long gray wire go. i am confused by the directions, in the photo it says it goes in the connector but then it says to splice it into the speedo. please help
