Need help installing an LED fuel gauge cap

Need help installing an LED fuel gauge cap

I can't seem to reach the clip on the bottom of the tank to undo it. How did you guys get to it? do I just pull hard? do I need to remove the tank? This is supposed to be an easy install but I can't seem to get past the first step.

BTW, it's an '06 bob.

On my 01 WG I just pulled the clip down fairly hard. There was plenty of slack tucked up there.

I have the digital gauge on my WG. Works great at night or during low light conditions but, during the daytime it is kind of hard to see. I usually know how much gas I have anyway from the trip meter. All in all it looks better than the analog gauge but that is about it.

Anyone have pics with these installed? How do you like them? Sounds like not being able to see them in the daylight is a concern. Are there others available or just the kuryakyn. THX mojo
