Oh nooooooooo! I went out tonight for a blast and when I got off the highway there was a pretty mean rattle coming from my bike.Got home and looked it over and sure enough the bracket the bolts to the tranny and holds the muffler on is cracked clean through on my 2.5 month old bub exhaust I don't have a pic,it was dark when I got home. I'm pretty sure they will send me a new one but that'll take two weeks I'm sure. Dammit with only about 1.5 months left to ride. I'm hoping i can get that bracet off somehow without removing the whole system and have it welded. I was planning to remove it this winter and already have the gaskets, but I didn't want to do all that now.
Actually Ratbob yes i did....twice as the first p-bracket split in two at the weakest point where the bolt goes through.Bub sent me a new one and it cracked about a week and a half ago,now the main bracket. All I can think is while trying to eliminate poppong I remember tghtening my flange bolts to some extent hoping there was just a small leak and that I could fix it that way.Maybe that put extra outward pressure on the muffler and base of the pipes.
Well don't ya know I put my oem pipes back on with my old rush 1.75's that lucky/unlucky I scratched and fatbob (one of our members) refused to buy!
Here is the pic of the broken support bracket and p-bracet .
The man at bub is going to ship me some new ones and hopefully they won't bust on me this time. C'est la vie! I guess.
Oh BTW guys comparing to the bubs to the rush.....there is no possible comparison in sound, but in all likelyhood I'll keep the oem's on for now and change em out this winter when I'm about to crack with boredom!

my RB racing exhaust mount broke off the mounting boss on the transmission. I'd rather the mount break than the cast aluminum case, but oh well. My neighbor is working on making me a new mount out of 1/4 plate like the RB piece. Going to attach it to the bolts below the trans inspection cover.
