You will read alot about primary leaks, trans seal leaks, and shifter shaft leaks on forums. If you run the same fluid in the trans and primary, it makes it harder to diagnose exactly what it leaking.

Ditto all the above, switched to Amsoil from another syn and never looked back. I ask myself this about folks who say run the same oil in all three holes. Would you put the gear oil in your engine?Then why would you put the engine oil in your tranny?? You need a heavier shear viscosity in the transmission. So much quieter and smoother with the gear oil.
