Default Flipped Mirrors on SB

Hello All,

First, I wanted to see if any of you had flipped the mirrors on your SB. I did a search and did not get any results.

I notice that on my right handle the mirror assembly and the turn signal are connected unlike the left side handle. I noticed the left side mirror assembly has some sort of bracket that offsets the mirror to the side. Is that bracket what I need for the right side?

I ll appreciate any links to this process, I checked the sticky for under fifty all the way to page 8 and I did not see anything.

Thanks,

Harlista01

I flipped my right mirror, which put it on my left side, back when I had my stock mini apes. I had to get a mirror extension as the only thing I could really see was my arm. For the right side I got a bolt the same size as the mirror stem and used that to hold the signal in place.

Now that I have my 16" apes on, I still have the same setup but no longer needed the mirror extension. I also removed my signals completely so don't have to worry about them anyway.

I can take a photo for you in the morning if you want to see...

PsTan,

Do you have any close up pics of the assembly (ie brackets), I am trying to figure out how the installation is done. Like I said on my original post, the right mirror does not have the little offset bracket that the left handle does.

If you keep your turn signals then you will only be able to flip the left hand mirror. that means take the mirror off the right side of the bike, and put it on upside down on the left side. The turn signals on the fxdb are connected through to the mirror on the right, when you remove the right mirror you will have to replace it with a bolt with the same thread pitch as the mirror. You will not be able to flip your mirror on the right hand side. I use a 3 inch round mirror on the left side only upside-down on my apes.
