Maybe, but remember its the insides with all of its shaft holes, bearing mountings, oil passages, and parts clearences that the MOCO and any other makers engineers have to give priority too. Cause if those toleances are not held to some very strict sizes the bike will not work properly or last very long.
The exterior might not be as perfect as you might like it, but the design engineers had to consider that when you are dealing with aluminum castings there are variables you have little or no control over such as shrinkage and heat warping so you can't have it perfect all the way around.
