Maybe we can get Mud to bring his 121" dyna out and show us how it's done, as they open the dragstrip for us and you sign your life away...
In case you don't know, the Smokeout is an (dare I say) ol school chopper rally. Not a trailer queen expo...these bikes are built by the riders and ridden hard. It's mostly shovelheads but you just never know what you're gonna see. Panheads, evo's, honda's, yamahas ,etc. Usually lots of brit iron too.
There is also a Smokeout West in NM. Seems they moved it from AZ. I'd strongly suggest going if you dig old bikes.

Fla is not that far man. what if i ride down then ride back up? 
I bet you're in Jacksonville in 4-5hrs. Smokeout is about 6hrs from there. I'll meet you in J'ville and then ride back up.
That'd e 6hrs down, 6hrs back for me. Surely you can't turn down an offer like that.

Trailer your bike up to Columbia,SC and ride in from there. I promise I won't pick on you.

A) it'd be cool to meet ya, Sway...maybe we could have a wide glide shoot-out on the drag strip?
B) I have always had a good time. Been going since '03. Only thing different is I don't drink as much anymore. Two beers and I'm done now. Super cheap date.
The rockingham location is better suited for this type of event than the previous site in Salisbury, NC (north of charlotte). Heard they got a 10yr lease so it'll be there for a while. Only downside is the event starts around noon friday and ends sunday with everyone vacating the premises.
I'd also suggest buying a weekend pass in advance...it's cheaper than buying a one-day pass, the day of. Trust me. It's like $25or so to walk (ride) in the door.
