Default Trailer Queens

Just got back from Laughlin. I couldn't believe how many people trailer their bikes from L.A. It's only 300 miles and the weather is perfect. I just don't get it.

there are various reasons to trail or ride. Some ride after they get there due to physical restrictions that would not allow them to make a 300 mile trip or more. Maybe the spouse has limitations and can't ride a distance over 150. The important part, they did ride. Don't be to quick, you may end up in the same boat some day.

Why is everybody that rides to rallys so wrapped up in people trailering their bikes?? I don't get that, I would be willing to bet that when everybody who trailers their bikes to rallys don't get there and go " hey look Joe, I can't believe the people who ridetheir bikes here". Get over it already. Everybody has their reasons for doing what they want to do. [sm=dontgetit.gif]

If my wife goes with me, I'm trailering. If I go solo, I'm riding.............who cares

Good response.

That aside, why folks on here always seem to overly concern themselves with how people ride, why people ride, how come they don't ride, frequency of ride, what they wear, what they don't wear, etc. is beyond me? If a guy wants to trailer his bike around the block, what difference does that make to anyone other than himself? I mean, does it really matter? Just do your own thing, man.

Mind your own biz! I rode out there, my buddy with Lou Gehrig's still likes to ride but cant do the distance, he trailered it, dont worry about what everyone else is doing. At least he went.

Don't necessarily have a problem w/trailer queens, unless someone tries to make it SEEM they rode all they way in from BFE or something. THOSE dweebs deserve to be derided for the entire rally.

If you're gonna do something, fess up to it. Or don't do it if you are too embarassed.

If my girl was into riding enough I woulda trailered a bike up to IA next month. 'cuz she has already stated she does not ever see doing 1000-mile trips on the back of a bike. Shorter maybe. But I would not have been rubbin my *** as I pulled up on the bike after a 2-mile ride.

I have rode one year to a rally and used my trailer the next year. What's the big deal? If the people that trailers didn't go, the rallies would be smaller and half the vendors wouldn't be there either. To each his own.

Man, I can't believe how trailers are painted blue! What's that all about...they need to be black!

You own a Road King. Easily said...
I own an FX Softie. I wouldn't ride my bike 100 miles from home, so 300 miles would be trailer time for me.
My bike is a get around town in style bike, and I have no use for a Touring model. Having said that, I would never confuse the benefits of either bike, and it sure ain't traveling anywherelongon a Night Train...

Damn, the guy was just making an observation. None of you can tell me that you haven't asked yourself the same question. You know, "Its a beautiful day, the weather is perfect, why in the world wouldn't they be riding" kind of thing? Come on, you all know you've done it.
