Default Fuel Stabilizer?????????

Made a search on what brand stabilizer is best to use but all i could find is that people use it but no details into what a good brand would be.

What brand does everyone use here???? and not to go off topic what is it with leaving the bike on the ground vs jacking the bike up off the ground for the winter??? Does it really **** up the tires bad if i dont jack it up???

I use Stabil every winter in the bike and lawn mower and every spring in the snowblower. they always fire right up when it is time to run.

I ride all year...when possible so I use STABIL (red) in my gas starting in November. Just remember that stabilizer only works with fresh gas so put it in right when you fill up. It will keep older gas from declining any more but won't bring it back to the same state as fresh gas. If you have ethanol in your gas then use the marine STABIL (blue). Both are available at Walmart or Amazon.

I don't store my bike on the jack and the tires do flat spot and ride rough for about the first 10 miles until they heat up. I keep the battery on the tender all year. I also change the engine oil & filter in November to get all the corrosive combustion by products out of the engine.

That's it for me.

Greetings,

I also use the red Sta-Bil and always keep my battery on the tender. I keep my bike on the concrete floor (not in the air) and I haven't had an issue with the flat spots. No, I don't have a heated garage.

Stabil, Marvel's Mystery Oil, or Sea Foam all works the same.

Stabil in bike, mowers, pressure washer, and weed eater, etc. Fires right up in spring.

I use sea foam in everything that I store for the season, snowmobiles/ snowblowers in the summer and bikes/boats in the winter. sea foam is an excellent stabilizer and cleaner. I usually put a little more than recomended without any problems. In my diesels once a year when I change my fuel filters I fill them up with seafoam. keeps the injectors clean. It is part of my regular maintanance

Stabil, bike in heated work shop for winter, carpet under tires, battery tender hooked up.
If it was really going to screw up the tires shouldnt all the bikes at the dealer be on jacks! I have seen them sit a lot longer than mine does
