Really? I live pretty far out in the boonies (closer to Joliet than Chicago)... I was under the impression most of those city folk loved Obama. Then again, Illinois is a Democrat state - electoral college votes pretty much always go Democrat for president. I would think though, his getting elected to state office had to be pretty much all Chicago voters.

On a side note, my neighbor with the dyna told me the story about the black lady in Detroit going into the welfare place asking for "Obama money". She was a supporter that came running for the stimulus crap aimed at helping the "less fortunate", I believe that is the politically correct term......

Yup... not to far from where I live. Cool place. I go to a lot of events there - mostly drag races & car shows, but I did go to an Indy Car race there recently (free, from Marlboro). Not something I'd pay to see, but damn cool for free, and they gave us a goodie bag from Penske Racing.
