Radio Shack Siren
I tried to attatch the Radio Shack siren that I read about on the forum, on my 09 Super Glide factory alarm today and had mixed results. After I wired it into the siren plug I tested it out and the siren worked. When I went to start the bike the bike started as usual but after about 5 seconds the engine light came on and stayed on for about 5 seconds then went out. I started looking around and found a plug under the seat that I knocked loose so I put it back together and tried it again. The engine light did the same thing so I disconnected the siren and checked for codes and P0113 came up. The list on this site said it was SENSOR VOLTAGE HIGH/OPEN.
Did anyone that tried this add on get the same results? Could adding the siren have caused the code or was it more than likely the plug that I found I had knocked loose? I know I should have reconnected the loose plug then cleared the code before taking the siren out but before I go puting it back in I was loking for some input from here.
