Default Dyan costs

Just wondering if any one here knows exactly what it is in the production of a Dyna that makes them less expensive (MSRP) than a comparable Softail.

demand! Rubs ride softail... need to impress others with the most popular model etc... IMHO the softail is way overpriced ... people will pay it though.
It's like my Tag watch .... is there really that much more to a Rolex that demands the 300+% price difference... Not at all.

softails have balanced motors and fancy suspension which adds some to the cost as well.. i personally dont care for them...

There are some costs that raise the price but most of it is just demand. Same reason a Fatbob is 2k more than a SGC.

Economics 101, supply and demand. Also it's an upsell to sell the softtail and a lot of rubs will buy them.

I figured it out... softail guys pay the extra 2K to avoid the "nice sportster" comments from those who just don't know....

only see a difference in cost if both owners of a dyna or softail left stock. But after seeing all the mods for both I think they run close to same price. I have guys who ride touring and softail ooing my bike. But I do the same with theirs.

Sure...the counterbalanced "B" motor vibrates less than the Dyna "A" motor and guys who have vaginas need less vibration or their panties get all sticky when they ride......
