Default Anyone Use DEI Titanium Heat Wrap?

I tried to paint my V&H Shorts black but the "hot spot" curve and where my foot rests on the mids has peeled no matter how many times I sand and paint.

So, I'd love to switch to the titanium wrap since it doesn't need to be painted. Question is does it smoke much?

Would love to see pics if anyone has em. I ride an 09 FXDB in black denim.

Thanks-

It does for about the first 30-45 minutes then no more.

Thanks. I looked in your albums and didn't see any pics though. If you have any I'd appreciate it.

But CAN you paint them, and if so, will the paint hold up better since the wrap can withstand higher temps?? I have WCC Hell Bent pipes on my Train, and they burn the S@!T out of my leg at stop lights. I got them aluminum ceramic coated black, but they faded within a month, and it was NO relief on the leg burnage. REALLY considering wrapping them now. I just want some that will STAY black!!

Agree.

Make sure your first ride is at night... the smoke drifting in front of the headlight when stopped is soooooo cool...

Mine smoked for a bit too. I also painted mine. I've actually have wrapped my pipes like 3 times but every year or so it turns to sh$t. Also if you see my pic my leg always rubs the wrap in the same spot
