The 20 mm hole in the "open end cap" makes them really loud, but performance wise and with 10 discs installed
a friends bike got it's best numbers on a dyno. It was so loud he went down to 5 discs and the regular end cap.
Lost a few horses but it sounds real mellow.
Tell me, have you struck any problems with the bracket welds failing or cracks appearing. ?? And if ya fitted them on a dyna.... did the pipe clear the footpeg bracket.??
Sorry, just noticed the term "supermegs" ..I'm assuming they have the same disc system as the "normal" 2 -1 system.
That the open end-cap loudens them up quite a bit is encouraging. I really like the deep, throaty sound of these pipes but they're just too quite for my taste. I'm going to order that open end cap and see how I like it. Thanks for the info!
Fianally installed the open end-cap on my SE 2-1 Supertrapp Super Meg (damn that's a long name!) exhaust. It really does louden these pipes up! Jetting needs to be fattened a bit.
