A while back I have read here that some people said they where going to buy the 2010 WG tank console and install it on their Street Bob but i never did see any completed ones , did anybody do it yet ? I would like to have the ignition switch on the console too ....
I was just there , i rather just buy the console and switch that's on the 2010 WG they even have a bracket that the switch sits on that attaches to the tank plate so everthing is lined up, the tanks are the same it should work, i'm not worried about the wires , i'm worried how i'm going to get the money ...
Wonka, you're on the right track. Installing the switch in the Bob console wasn't bad but it was pita (might be the way I went about it)!!!! I plan on doing the same thing with either the WG or the FXDSE console.

I was going to do it and then found that HD wants 300+ for 10' WG freaking console, no way in my wildest dreams would I thought they would charge that much for a trim piece, HD has even out done themselves! So back to modifying my SB console.

Just ordered everything from Zanotti's (2010 Wide Glide dash that is);Here's a list of everything you need. Was $322 total including the ignition I need to use the same key I have.
1) Console;
Chrome is 61712-08
Black is 61732-10
2)Speedo Gasket (different than Street Bob gasket)
70706-08

All these part numbers come from the 2010 parts books for WG.
I have all these part #'s already accept the FORK LOCK DECAL , thats nice to have since no more power will be there i will order that one too, i got my part numbers from a blow up page from the dealer on the WG and SB which are both on the same page , most use the same part #'s here's is one that it says (not shown ) Lock Set # 71430-06B $106.29 are those the keys ? How are you going to use your original stock keys with the new ignition ? Also i have never used Zanotti but the prices are definably cheapper 15-33.5 % compared to other dealers and the Harley catalog, why i don't know , Your parts add up to $291.10 they must be charging $30.90 for shipping do they charge tax ? Also can't we use the some the wire harness # or we don't have too what will you do ?
Lock set is for the WG....includes the ignition and fork lock, which matching keys. I ordered just the ignition by giving the staff @ Zanotti's my key code. You slide the black cover off the key and there is a four digit number....give them that and theyll send you the right ignition. The right price was $315 with ship. As far as harness, going to pull the wires from ignition, pull them through and extend if need be. I reduced all the wiring from frame to console into one piece of loom. Plenty of room for three extra wires. Also, ive bought TONS of stuff through Zanotti's, never had an issue. Top notch.
Too rich for my blood and I also wanted to black wrinkle powder coat the console which is another 25 or so.
20.00 switch on ebay and a hole saw is more in line with my budget. I was thinking maybe 80.00, but 300+????? I'll use that towards some good shocks!
There is a write up where one of the guys built a harness that just plugs into the factory harness at the neck and then at the switch with correct connectors, clean install for sure, even if you are using he WG console. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/4835037-post1.html
