Hello all,
Please bare with me on this. I want to buy my lovely boyfriend a new rear fender for his 01 Dyna Wide Glide. Now heres the problem I have he doesn't want another stock fender (we think they are ugly) he wants a taildragger fender, or street sweeper or what ever the hell they are called. I have been looking for the last 3 weeks for a fender for his bike. Now... I don't have 400 bucks to spend on one and really want a raw one. He has plans to repaint the bike again. I guess what I am asking y'all is where do I get a fender that is not going to cost an arm and leg? And how do I know they will fit his bike. I am totally lost and I keep hinting around to him but sooner or later hes going to get wise something is up. Any help will be great
There are many places that sell raw fenders, and wreckers that will have used ones that he can blast if he is going to paint anyway.I would contact a local bike painter to see where he gets his parts. Or give him a gift certificate for one.
Where are you located? Maybe I can suggest a local wrecker.
Okay have any of your heard of this company or used them? I talked to him and he said they use the measurements I had... which I have no idea how to go about doing that. I was looking at the very last fender. http://www.oldinc.com/oldysbc.htm
