Ok this same thing happened to us my buddy and me were caught in a HUGE rain storm during a long ride anyway we got back drenched and dirty and we both cleaned our rides and waxed etc etc.. same thing you experience my boy did we took my Echo leaf blower to it and dried her real good went thur everything electrical, un-plugged etc etc... Ultimately it was all in the PC his got totally screwed by the water so the tune was off which made the bike run like ***.. But dude we were riding like bats out of hell threw amazon river sh^t lotz of water.. But I would just dry everything out and go threw all the electrical.. Good luck brotha

I had gotten caught in the rain this past week also. My sputtering at idle was due to water in the air intake. I intend to purchase a DryCharger "rain sock" from K&N for my filter to mitigate that next time though. As for the electric - I had taken the advise of some others on this forum and coated "ALL" my electrical connections with Di-electric grease. I had washed my bike with a high pressure washer a while back and experienced the eliectrical problems.

Never had this problem, but I'm damn sure gonna go out and get me some di-electric grease TODAY!

Why? There are probably hundreds of members here that have a PC and have been trouble free.
I'm one of them.

Some don't want to take the chance that they'd be unlucky, there have been so many reports of problems or temporarily stranded or were not happy with the performance.... Its typically only the riders with problems that you hear from.. and some may have bunged up the install. There are thousands of units out there but there seems way too many problem reports. There wasn't much choice just a few years ago, however.

i would give a few days let the bike dry out... most likely there is no problem except for water where it should not be.. no problem b/4 the rain and after the rain there is one i would let it dry out... little trick if you have a storage cover use a very small heater and set it under the bike with the cover on and turn the heater on to a setting where yoou feel comfortable and that will act like an oven and dry the bike out.... for winter storage you should always use a golden rod under the bike with a storage cover on it to make sure the is no moisture under there... the heater is just speeding up the process b/c it takes like 2 days for the golden rod to work

disconnect the pc and start the bike. it will be ok . take it around the block to see if you still have the problems.
might be a good time to invest in a TTS and a good solid tune.
Ok did a few fixes and here is my update.

Ok, today was a much warmer day ...and i found a few trhreads last night relating to my problem so this is what i did..

OK

1. I removed, all electrical connections and wd_40'D THEM, AND cleaned them with a nylon bristle tooth brush, starter, regulator, battery..

2. Removed Air intake housing, cleaned those connections as well as the connection for the IAC. little hole on top portion of intake throttle body. it had a good glob of oil and grit wedged in there..( wow) all clean and purty.

Ok, soo My IDLe stalling issue has been remedied, she hasnt stalled all day, and i went riding around the neighborhood, stall free.

but, when i hit the hwy and opened her up,, Lo and behold, my bike would sputter, hell it even popped a few times as if im dumping a crap load of gasoline on it.
She never stalled out like yesterday, but she certianly had a problem in maintaining a good RPM.

Im really not of the mindset to take her in to the Dealer ( stealer) just yet, i know she is under warranty and all, but im still of the mind that this is a simple fix that im over looking..

Ideas????
