ok, its late, so ill Ill pull the PC first thing tomorrow morning, set it up stock, take it to work, see how she rides that way.
Ill post my results via my cellphone as soon as i arrive.
Don't know how, why, but FuelMoto "again" swooshed in to the rescue.
As per everyones input, everything, and I mean everything was taken apart.
Air cleaner, throttle body. Injectors, fuse box, sensors etc.. It was all cleaned, greased, and reconnected.
Still nothing changed.
Called the fellas at FM. And well I was prompted on a firmware update via email.
Wouldn't ya know it.
My scoot is as good as new.
I don't know what happened or wether or not something mechanical interfered with the Map. But any hoot. She's alive.....
I would suggest that you check our performance figures if you loaded a custom map for the PC. Here's why:
When water got every where it wasn't supposed to be, you did the right thing and dried all the places that should have been. Then you ran the bike and PC still had enough moisture in it to screw it up (specifically the Firmware ROM), but not fry it. The PC probably has a self protection circuit (think surge protector) that saved it since it wasn't soaking wet, but wasn't able to prevent ALL consequences. From all the posts here, the PC was the one thing you never "removed form the mix," and then when you loaded the firmware things were "fixed." That places the problem squarely on that unit.
So since it is now running why am I saying you should recheck your performance?
When you reloaded the firmware it fixed the PC, so to speak, by installing a fresh copy. Firmware only gives the unit its factory specs for operation. If you loaded a custom map when you did the initial install, I would bet you dollars to doughnuts the map is no longer there, as reloading the CMOS in a ROM based system would likely set the entire unit back to factory spec, I.E., the state before your custom map was loaded. So it is running, but probably not as well as it could be. You may have more popping and might even notice less "ooomph" while riding.
Glad you got her back up and running, but I would think you need to make sure she is in tip top operating shape buy reloading your custom map if you installed one.
