Trouble removing drain plug '02 FXD
Hey guys,
I just bought an '02 Super Glide. I can't get to the engine oil drain plug on this thing. There is not room to get an Allen wrench on the drain plug because the kickstand and some sort of brace is in the way. How do you get to it? Is there some special tool you need to get in there? I didn't have any trouble with the primary or the transmission.

If the kickstand is in the way you are after the wrong plug! The engine oil plug is further back and should be clear of any obstructions. Also you should be able to get at it with a socket instead of an allen.
Actually it sounds as though you may want to consult a manual or get someone else to do this job for you. IMO dude!

Get a set of 90 degree allen wrenches, then use the short end to get in the allen wrench portion of the plug or use the box end of a combination wrench to remove the plug. Use a new "O" ring, they are cheap. Been useing an allen wrench on my 02 Superglide for the last 9 years, no problems.
