Thanks all for the words.

Trying to remember some comments and questions:
-No one got a ticket.
-I think its packing wrap (like what they put around stuff on pallets).
-He started on the path of it wasn't his fault.....not worried though; it's obvious to everyone else.
-db does not stand for dog breath....it's my initials.
-Loud pipes; I like em but you're right, they aren't for preventing accidents.

You all know but ride safe and always stay alert.

And no, people can't drive around like that. Becides the unsafe lane change he can't block his mirrors.

Glad you're ok mate, but the car driver should be banged to rights for driving with a widow taped up like that, what an ***! We have these type of accidents all the time here on the UK motorways - people pulling out on bikers to change lanes without looking. Generically we call them S.M.I.D.S.Y or "Sorry mate didn't see you"

I'm not sure if it's the same for you U.S guys but if we have an accident like this here in the UK, even if it's not your fault the insurance companies still load our premiums for about 3 - 5 years afterwards. My lad has only just got rid of one excess payment from an accident that happened to him about 5 years back where someone ran up the back of his car while he was stationary - totally blameless. Yet, every year he had to declare it and they charged him more.

Good to hear you're ok. That sucks about the bike though. Let us know what mods you'll be making when the insurance comes through!!! People don't pay attention when they are driving.
