All is good enough. Got a hell of a hematoma on my left upper leg but nothing broken. Left side of the bike (and my body) took the brunt and the Fat Bob is already back at HD for the estimate.
2 lane freeway; I was in the left lane and he in the right. Traffic was moving fairly slowly around 25mph and he thought he saw a gap and took it. Tried to avoid him and thought I might have locked up the front brake but, and I didn't know till he told me, we made contact which ended being my front tire into his rear driver side door and the reason I went down. It all happened quick. CHP has but full responsibility on him. I wasn't angry and I'm still not....he stopped and had insurance and a witness stopped as well in my favor.
Maybe this was part of the problem. It's not like the bike is quiet. I don't know. Back on soon enough.
Whoa! glad you came out of it in 1 piece. What the hell is that wrapped around his mirror and side window??!! Talk about a "blind spot", looks like home made blinders and an accident in the making. Get back up and out soon!
First off, Glad your OK and the bike can be fixed. But seriously...he was driving with his driver side door all taped up like that. He should get a double ticket. One for NOT looking before changing lanes, AND another for driving his car with very limited visibility. Geez... He should have been apologizing all over himself for that one...
First and most important, it's good that you are ok. Second, If I've said it once I've said it 100 times, I am a firm believer that "Loud Saves" is BS.
In any case glad you were not hurt any further. Lost a friend a couple of weeks ago so that's still fresh in my mind.
Glad you are okay! Can't believe that someone would sctually try to drive with their window covered like that!
I see it all the time. Dammitt they let these folks ride around without a second glance and yet we get ticketed for loud pipes when we pose no threat and no harm at all for that reason.
Glad your ok! DB~~~ does that stand for dog breath 'cause my freind always calls me that? (joking lol)
