Default 2010 Wide Glide forward controls

Has anybody heard of a way to move back the foot controls without making a huge project out of it, I am 5'8" tall and I way 185 I can reach the controls with my legs bent a little, but it still feels like I am reaching for the rear brake peddle. Maybe it is just a feeling I will have to get used to. Any input will be much appriciated.

Maybe you can change out the pedal pad for a different style, might gain a 1/2 inch or so.

Someone else suggested floor boards.

I'm 5'6" and some one suggested Kuryakan extenders for the foot pegs. I'm going to try them the give you 1 1/4 "

I've never been a fan of floorboards. There is no easy bolt on kit. So I built my own brackets.

I moved both mounts back 1 1/4", which is as far as you can go because of the outer primary cover. The only major mod which really wasn't major and only took about 20 minutes was to cut the threaded rod from the end of the brake rod then cut 1 1/4" from the rear of the brake rod and weld the threaded rod back on so that the brake lever would be in the right position. The shift rod did not have to be altered because you can remove the shifter and reposition it where you need it.

You might also try the 'stirrups' or heel rests ... give your foot a little more stability and take some of the stress off your legs ....

* * *

Ghostrider ... ingenious setup ... well done (was kind of wondering about the brake rod) ....

Yeah, it's not the best angle because the bike is on the stand. If you would like a better shot I can try and get one tomorrow. It may not look like it but the entire peg assembly is moved back 1 1/4".
