Over the past couple of weeks, I added the following:
1. HD Heel rests.
2. Forward control extenders (2 inch)
3. HD Battery Cover
4. Eastern Performance/CobraII headlight (saw it on JV225's WG and had to have it!)
Looks great , the forward control extenders are they hard to install ?? was thinking about getting a set of kuryakyn...the heel rest & headlight are a great addition
They were easy to install. I went with the extender only from JP. It was only $89. It came with a shifter rod and a brake rod and the extender plates with necessary bolts. I was thinking about the Kuryakyn extensions but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go out 3 inches and I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $189
I was thinking of putting the road king headlamp and lightbar on my DWG.
My battery box is the skull logo and think I wanna get the Made in the USA Harley eagle one instead of the skull. Would match the emblem on by backseat backrest.
thanks for the info I am 6' 5" so I will probally go with a 3" extension , except my wife might have something to say about it , she told me if I get them she would not be able to ride the bike ..but i have had the WG for six months and she only wants to ride bitch .. and she took & passed the MSF course years ago ..she says this bike is to heavy for her to out on by herself .. need to get her her own bike maybe a sportster ..anyway thanks again
I had to do something after I rode my friend's Heritage with floor boards. I wanted the feel without the floorboard bulk. Once you get them set to your taste, they feel great. It's not as good as boards but it is the next best thing.
Looks great man. I might have to try the heal rests again. I bought them and used them for about 200 miles didn't like them so I took them off and threw them in a box [&:] I might have to give them another try and mess with the adjustment a little more since everyone else who has them seems to love them. I think I'll get that offset headlight bracket you used too. It sticks out quite a bit more than mine.
