Smile Decided its apes for the FatBob

I have done several searches but wondered if any of you Great Guys in here might be good enough to share thoughts, being 5'10" and around 12 stone (about 168 pounds I guess),I was going to put 16" apes with minimal risers body and would appreciate anybody of similar height sharing their thoughts.

Also is there a supplier, I have checked out chubby,Burly and burliegh over in australia and would like black bars but also keen if I can have these supplied with replacement cables etc.

A big ask guys I know but if any of you could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Wild 1 572 14" apes with 2" risers. The 2" risers were the shortest I could find at the time. I am 6' tall and the bars are a couple inches above my shoulders. This bike sees mostly around town use but on rides over 100-150 miles my hands/shoulders do begin to tire out a little. I wish they were maybe a couple inches shorter.

I'm 5'10, I ran 16" wild ones & didn't like em at all (pull back bends aren't bent down enough with too much pull back) horrible angle on your wrists making long rides miserable! I tried some cheap 16's from ebay...way more comfy with way less pull back & better pull back bends & these were doable on long rides but got my neck towards the end of the day. I'm now with 14 inch tall risers, perfect for my height...all day with no neck pains! They're right level or just below my shoulders. Alot of variables in bars ya really need to mock something up & firure out what ya need...you'll be glad ya did!

If you want to take out all the guess work, give Johnny Vaughn a call of check out his web site. You tell him the bike you have and the bars you want and he'll send you everything you need. http://hdbikeparts.com/

I'm 5'9" around 180. I must have oompah-loompah arms because I put 14" burley apes on my superglide. Hate them. I rode them all season, but looking for more pull back.

Anyone try these? http://www.sideroadcycles.com/Americ.../TallBar1.html
