wideglide conversion
I want to convert the narrow glide front end to a wideglide on a 98' Superglide. What parts are required to do this? Also, can I keep my stock front wheel,or do I need to get a 21" one? One more question, what are some good companies, other than the stealer,to buy the parts?

A true stock wide glide 41mm front end? If so get a parts list from your dealer. Go to zanotti's and order the parts. Save you almost 300 bucks over list prices. I personally would recommend a wide glide front wheel too(21"). You can get spacers for the disc brake for your current wheel but to me they look like crap. you will need the trees, hardware for the stem(including upper dust cover) lowers, and a bottom mount headlight. Also a fender and wheel or you can get spacers for your current fender. Also need a axle. If you use the wide glide stock trees, your lock will still work. This Is what I did. Get a drop in lowering kit for the front to get the 2" longer fork tubes back to stock ride height.
I bought this kit for my '96 from Jireh. Simple bolt on setup. I already had a 21 inch wheel and 2 inch drop kit, but its by no means required. There are plenty of wide glide conversions that are availible. Many don't change ride height at all, but do cost more money.
