Responded about the gun-drilled studs in your dragbar thread.

2 things to be careful of when running wires through risers:

1) Drilled risers and bolts/studs can only accomodate minimal amounts of wires, more like a chopper build, not big fat HD wire harness.

2) If you still want to go that route, be careful some risers are fine thread, some coarse thread. Know which thread pitch you need.

yeah the guy used drilled out studs. Now.... where to find em. If I can find em. I tried v-twin mfg, but I have no idea where to start. Probably gonna make some calls to the custom shops in my area tomorrow. Maybe call V-twin as well.

Rounder,

You could take your risers and riser bolts to a machine shop and have them drilled out on a lathe.

don't own the risers yet. I am making a decision on new setup for my bike. If I can run my wires through a set of bars and then down the risers out the bottom, I will run some 8" straight risers with nightrod black bars. I just have to make sure this can be done before purchasing them. If I can't get it done, some west coast t-bars 'v' bars will probably be what I get.
