Twinkie is the term used by anyone that owned a H-D prior to 1999. Anything else just shows you're a noob.

I agree on hearing all three of those Linc.

Overnight, my little peabrain had floated FatHead up from the depths of my memory bank.

I seem to recall a very extensive Tech discussion when the 88 debuted in 99.
If I remember correctly, the Moco used the FatHead name in every other sentence.

I'm searching for the article now.

Right along the same lines as "Hear no Evo, speak no Evo, see no Evo". Probably have the order mixed up but you get the jist of it.

My twinkie parks next to a friends shovel frequently. May pick up a shovel myself this winter.

I have no problem with "twinkie". I like twinkies, they taste good.

Agreed then. We shall now and forever refer to the new dyna as "block-head".

Solved.

Historically all engine nicknames were coined by the customer base and not invented by the Motor Company.

Blockhead was originally used for the Evolution series of motors, but no one really liked that term either so they just became Evo by default and common usage.

The term Fat Head for the Twin Cam was first proposed by Donny Peterson, I think, in American Iron when news first broke about the motor and their NDA was up. Most people didn't like that either and it never stuck. Twinkie is the most common nickname but most people just use TC or Twin Cam.
