Just a nice set of bags and a good windshield would be a great start. You may want to upgrade shocks for a softer ride on the longer trips. I went with mini floor boards [on forward controls] and mid pegs on my bike for more comfort and more foot position options. You should also look into some after market seats that will have more cushion and are a bit wider with nice back support.

That will get you started...then as you take trips you will figure out the other things that would make it more comfortable for you as an individual and add or subtract things.

Iron bags, Corbin seat with back rest, highway pegs, fxdx shocks, V-rod fork internals, SE pipes, S&S air cleaner assembly, HD roll bag on solo rack, electic vest, Zumo GPS, full face helmet, good leathers, cash or a credit card in your picket, time on your hands and a smile on your face. Should just about do it.
