few pictures. first is of behind the neck where the wires enter the frame. My hand is holding the loop that is under the seat. My middle finger is pointing at a hole where the wiring harness should be zip tied to. the final picture is of an access panel that is under the fender. This can be removed and allows you to push the loop of wiring down easier to get the wiring to pull through the frame better. the wiring goes through the frame behind the access panel. It is a lot easier to get wiring out by removing the battery box from the bike. Be sure to disconnect the battery. hope this helps. BTW this is all covered in the H-D service manual, I highly recommend purchasing one and tossing the chlymer one. Even if this is not helpful to you cause you bike is post 05, I figure the pictures may help someone else that might be looking at this thread with a bike older than 06.

Rounder, you're a mine of information, I'll go look at that and see if there's anything holding the loom in there - I've given it a good tugging but nothing's moving so if as you say there's definitley slack in there, then something must be holding it in. I'm workng between that and making some custom exhaust hangers here for my son's Honda SP-1 so it's only on the other side of the garage.

Mud - it's a 2002 Dyna Low, tried to find the post suggested by Rounder but you've got a heck of a lot posts here!

Really appreciating the info chaps - thanks.

no problem, your gonna definitely need to push the wire from under the seat. it can be difficult at first, and you really need to pull a little harder than you might think from the front. Once it starts moving, then it gets much easier. when you get the wiring out, the connectors are real easy to get apart on our bike.

OooooKaaaaay............all done - thanks very much to you guys for the input.

I've managed to pull the small amount I needed up the frame tube, as it turned out it didn't need any more than 2" - I genuinlely thought it was going to need more that. It came up a lot easier than I thought it was going to, I mustn't have been pulling hard enough earlier - I don't like using brute force on anything.

No need to splice anything now so I'm a happy bunny

Just the clutch cable & brake hose to come now then it can all go back together
