Cool Started on front fender

Hopefully I can make this work. I've had this old fiberglass fender hanging around for years... i was thinking of a bigger fender to match my FL rear and the fairing project.. problem was it was only 4" wide. I think I paid $5 for it at a swap meet... got looking online at new ones and they were either too wide or for 16" tires.. So I split it sown the middle and set it on the bike to get an idea what it would look like.. I think i'll extend the rear down lower.. like to the height of the bottom frame tube more like the Taildragger style

Any input?

Why didn't you just buy a touring model to begin with?

Actually that fender looks nice. While you are glassing in the center strip, you should glass in some aluminum sheet doublers to strengthen where the fender mounts to the fork legs.

The Fairing is going to be quick detach. And if I put bags they will be also.

So I can have two bikes in one. A "street" bike for quick trips around town etc. and a "road" bike for overnighters.

The rear fender is awesome..! It looks like the old hinged Shovelhead rear fender (minus the hinge).

When is ***** G going to get the hint? With all these Dyna's going to the old FL look they need to do a factory FL package in the Dyna line. Bike looks good! I like the direction you went.
