I just bought a 01 Dyna Low Rider that has a min-rail sissy bar on it. I would like to get a detachable sissy bar and am not real sure about taking the mini-rail off. It is behind the fender support now, my question is if I take it off, is there a "plate" that I have to put between the fender and the support or will the it draw up tight once I tighten the bolts back up? Hope that question makes sense.
The detachable SB fits outside of the fender support so the mounting that you now have is totally removed. The fender support is accomplished by the detachment bolts/parts that make up the detachment/attachment fittings that you will need from HD or ...
OK, I still confused.
Let me try to ask this in a different way.
Can I remove the mini-rail totally from my bike and just re-install the 2 bolts (1 allen head and the one behind the turn signal) to hold the fender support in place? I'll deal with the detachable sissy bar later.
Thanks.
