I would do the rocker boxes , and for an added twist, I would make a sleeve from an old oil filter, and do it in brass,or gold like I did.
ya man... i am using a trans gold on my harley... i am tooling the underside of the metal to get a better effect on it... but almost all my chome is already been powdered this gold... still have some odds and ends to do but you get the idea
when we lay 1 mil it almost looks platnium, but with the reg thickness it is gooooold
here is our sample bottle of the gold i am using... but there are a ton of other colors out there man! LOTS, of brass, rust, copper... but getting the right effect depends on the base coat for alot of them as well. *when i get my bike out to do the motor next month i will snap some pics of all my linkage and crap that is done in this... my fork tubes and trees are getting it as well
