I think the best handling dyna is the man with the biggest set of ***** . If your not crapping something in a turn Your not turning .
I own a 2002 XL1200 stage 1 and a 2006 FXDI35 Super Glide Anniversary stage 1. Both are Slammed. The Sporty is VERY nimble and I ride it VERY aggressively and I send sparks a flying on really sharp turns. My Glide is like a Sportster on steroids. I ride it just as hard,. I think my Glide handles GREAT! I can't think any other Dyna will keep up with me on the twistes. I'm 5'2" and 160 lbs and she flies like an Eagle!. That's with the loss of the Bat wing and bags. IMO

If you can handle a bit more height on the suspensions, Im sure you would enjoy your bikes even more and push them harder on the twisties. 100%. Your bikes loses a lot of clearance and nimbleness by slamming them and you really dont want sparks on turns.
Let me say this ....when the rear tire is scuffed to the edge of the tire I believe that's as low as it gets before it's down time . Has anyone reached the EDGE. I have. Love my Dyna, with my low center of gravity it goes where I want it to go. Normal riding I don't scrape, just when I get down and dirty

If you are able to do that with your slammed bikes, you must be riding them hard, no doubt in that. I think it’s physically impossible without ruining the primary and exhaust tho... I have 14" shocks and I scrape the pegs before the edge of the tire. I have to scrape the peg brackets (mids) or the exhaust to be able to use the whole width of the tire, and that I don’t want to do. You will hit something else before you’re on the edge of the tire, especially if the bike is slammed, or am I wrong?
Here’s my rear tire when I was riding on 13,5". I could for sure use it all but my pegs are to expensive for me to want to scrape 1/3 of it away
Btw, if youre 5'2, wouldnt forwards be a reach? And how do you grab onto the bike on those hard corners youre talking about?

Its been happening so much lately. I personally like to see how old they went, and I often want to post to reply "did you just use google and no check a date?"
i feel like my fxdb is so low that it would lay on the primary case if it fell over haha
also who cares how old it is, if it's relevant its relevant.
If it's not a look how old this post is, it's a did you try the search function before you posted this

Get hold of Zach Nation and bet him pinks on this statement.
So; years later...
Sold the FXDXT; it was time to upgrade for continued touring. Got an FXDF with mids, added some HP, changed shocks, MY perfect solo touring rig. The FXDXT was still quite a bit better handler. Better suspension and far lighter bike (aluminum rims, swingarm and composite rotors) 608 lbs vs 725.

yes my legs are straight on the forwards,I have a super reach seat. I also have scraps on both pipes and pegs.
i don't ride hard all the time but when I do.....I do. As for holding on one knee is glued to the bike and the Corning knee is open with a drop. Don't get me wrong I've had my falls also. I just keep on fix' n and riding
