Well i got home from work at noon and was bored and decided to put my V&H BSS on despite the fact that my SERT hadnt shown up yet. It was a pretty easy install and man they look great i sure am happy. I started it up and it sounds real good, they are quite a bit louder than the SE slip ons. I took it for a shot ride and it seemed to run ok, no popping. I just got back from a longer ride and there were deffinatley some differences and not good ones, first it semed to lack in power and when i was accelerating there was a point where it felt like it was fluttering. Not sure if this is all because of needing to be tuned but what else is there, the last time i was out it was fine and now not so good. Any body else do this and experience the same thing. Here are some pics of them on.
Your fluttering is because you're WAY lean now. I woud be very careful riding until you get your SERT. In fact I probably wouldn't ride at all.
When I swapped over from SEII's to the Pythons I started the bike and it fluttered and died almost immediately. I then loaded up a new map I created and it ran perfectly. The new exhaust made it way too lean without the map being changed.
If I recall, I said I'd send you a dialed in map once you got your SERT and pipes installed. Looks like you jumped the gun!!
Let me know when you get that SERT and I'll send along what you need.
Yea i kinda did jump the gun but like i said i was bored and needed something to do. I am not going to be riding it until i set the sert it should be here this coming week. I am going to be doing double shifts this week so its gonna be sitin anyway so no harm done. Just meens that tomorow i gotta do yard work now. DAM. I will pm you when i get the sert for the maps. Thanks again
Those pipes look sweet. Yeah that sert will have ya all fixed up. What injectors are you running? Hey what tank badge is that you have on your Bob?
PowerCobra98,
Dang you need a dark filter on your camera when you take your pics from now on,....Your blinding us with all that bling,.....LOL nice looking ride. Hey what are the specs on your bike? Was just kinda courious as to your sert settings. I'm a data freak,... as strange as it sounds I like looking at the numbers of seeing what works for everyone on their sert.
jmbear328. Its a harley product, not sure of the part number but its in most of the catalogues and also in the harley parts catalogue as well, there are lots of different one available. sure looks better than the stock imo

LOL, just put some sunglasses on and you'll be fine.
Essentially with the SERT I've changed the VE tables, the AFR tables, the Spark Advance tables, the Idle RPM table, the Closed Loop Bias table, and the Accel Enrichment table. The SERT is probably one of the top two items I've bought for the bike, well worth the cash.
Kimo, no specific reason for going with the V&H, to be honest when ordering i never even thought of it. The tool bag is from a company called moto leather, www.motoleather.com.
