Yep. It was a chrome one on mine too. The build on this one was around 1982. Looks like Mud's build was quite a bit earlier.

But you missed the bicycle horn between the riser's. Heheheh

Hate to be a pest Mud, I know it's the Holidays and all, but I'd sure like to hear how those Ricor shocks checked out. Their website sez that the sale price is for a limited time only and I'd hate to miss out on a good thing, but on the other hand I don't want to spend that much without hearing your report first. Did you ever get a chance to put them through the wringer?

Already got back. It was a perfect riding day. Didn't make it to leukenback, but did make it to boerne, then the shade tree on 281. I guess we are neighbors. Did you like those shocks.

Default shocks!!!!!

Hey Mud,
Great ride up and back from Luckenbach this afternoon!
I had a blast.
From where I was sitting (which was usually pretty far back from you most of the time!!) that bike looked like it was on a rail.
Those shocks work from what I could see, and not too many people are going to keep up with you.
Some of the bumps (that I never saw you hit) almost threw me off my Train!!!

Usually when I am following others, I have an indication from their jolts that I'm fixing to get it too.
I never saw your bike bounce one time, like I said, most of them caught me by surprise!!
With that handling, and your other mods......the MudSickle is pure and simply....NASTY!!

I'm going to have to save a few bucks and get me some of those Ricors shocks and suspension upgrades for my Low Rider (I wonder if they'll powder coat the rear shock springs red for me?).

Oh, speakin' of red.....check your Oogas and let me know if you have those three that we talked about....... and if you don't mind, I'll stop by and pick up a few of them one day next week.
Again, great ride today.....almost perfect weather.
Talk with you later.
See ya

yeah mr bear the ride was excellent.
Lotta good stuff up there.

As to the shocks, you saw it right man.
The Ricors definitely had me stuck to the road like glue.

For a while I was riding the centerstripe around those sweeps at 80 90 and better
so I could run over the bumpers, and it was like they weren't there.

I thought the rest of the road was way too smooth.
you say no, so I guess I missed out on that.
The shocks work great.

There's another stretch up there,
I think between Kerrville and Bandera.
It's a bit more challenging, so I'm gonna test run on it next.

I'm pretty sure Brian said he can powder the springs any color you want.

Yeah Mud, I saw that!!!!
Riding the stripes and bumpers in the sweepers......never saw the mudsickle washout or falter even once.......very impressive.
My tires would have spent half the time off the ground I'm afraid, no way I was going to attempt that.
I do think i'm going to consider a set of those for the rear of my Low Rider.
I'll just have to put off the majority of the engine mods for a while, but I think the suspension upgrades should come first anyway.
Maybe if I order the shocks, he will make me a deal on the Intiminators also.....never hurts to ask huh?

Oh yeah......if you have a couple of the oogas in the top row of link you provided, save me one of the red and blue ones and I'll get them from you.
If you ever run across an orange (or natural color) save me one of those also.
I'll square up with you pretty soon.

Be careful on that Kerrville to Bandera run....there are a couple of real "hairpin" curves that will test your riding skills. Who knows, you may catch the Photographer from txmotofoto who works a section of that road every other weekend (weather providing) and you can pick up some great action photos.
On the other weekends, he works a twisty section of 337 between Vanderpool and Leakey.
He really does take some nice pictures (usually 3-4 shots as you approach and ride by), and posts them on his website for you to look at, or order.
Lot's of people turn back and go the opposite direction and he gets you again coming the other way.
Both of those stretches are some of the best riding in the Hill Country....we'll have to do those rides sometime.

Just watch for the "Man" though.....they are usually laying low for the "Hyperbike Guys" who love to push those machines to their limits too......they do catch their share.

I'll get with you in a bit about the best way to approach Brian about the shocks and Intiminators.

Talk with ya later.

Ride safe
