Angry I'm pissed at myself!

It is 65 degrees here in Houston and the weather is perfect for riding. I checked the air in the tires, put on the riding gear and then noticed my right blinker looked loose. Sum beach

The other day I tightened it a little b/c one light was pointed higher than the other and I guess when I did, i snapped the wire.

I take it the blinker lights are not suppose to be able to pull right off? And that the wire is not 2 seperate parts and are just suppose to touch to make work b/c mine isn't working.

GUess I will need to go to the dealership and get another part....sum beach

Can't you just splice the wires together to get it to work for the time being? Don't feel too bad, at least you can ride, sitting here with a foot of snow outside and it's 25 deg out right now.

Are you sure it's the wiring? I've had to replace the left rear blinker bulb twice now...I went to get the bulb at the dealer parts dept. and when I told 'em what I needed they said it was covered under warranty.

Both times the service mngr. had a tech replace the bulb while I waited...it took 'em less than 5 min. and at no charge both times.

Yesterday was perfect riding in San Antonio. Sorry about the blinker. I hope you still were about to ride. By the way, my blinker wires are splizted with regular butt connectors and they work fine.

75 and sunny here is So Cal. Did a 200 mile ride yesterday with a buddy and it was picture perfect. No blinkers would have stopped me.

sounds more like he stripped the blinker housing by tightening too tight. If that is the case you can tap the housing an go the next size up for a bolt. Also will need to run the drill through the standoff where the bolt runs through. Simple fix... good as new... 5 minutes to do.

Yeah, if you pull it right off with nothing dangling.... time to replace the wiring. Not hard, but it is a pain in the ***.... just take your time.

Don't splice the wires together. Take everything apart, remove the existing wires, put new wires on. When I did my rear turn signals, I found the previous owner had spliced the wires in 2 places! Morons. Took everything apart, took the connectors off the ends, put them on some new wire, added a little solder to be sure, boom. Good as new.
