But you're still better off without them IMO

All wires conecting my front indicators and right hand switchblock were severed, the lugs on the RH grip that hookup to throttle cables were broken off and I lost BOTH ferrules out of the cable ends as well, though it was a while before I discovered that part. I found some superglue and managed to glue the throttle grip back together, clamped it and left it to set. Finding the missing ferrules was a nightmare. My shed floor is not clean at the best of times. Striping the wires with a razor blade, twitching them back together. taping then up and making sure it was all waterproof was like ****ing brain surgery. Got it all back together, turned on the key, hit the button, it started and everything works the way it should. That happened about eighteen months and about thirty thousand miles ago. If your serious about going for a ride, twitch it back together, do it properly and dont worry about it. If thats the worst thing that happens to your bike you'll be doin' well. I know this seems a bit of a rant but if your serious about goin' for a ride you'll find a way.

Looks like ****. Isn't necessary. Lazy way out. Whomever did the work on my bike did it to avoid taking a couple of connectors off one end of the wires. It's a half assed way to do it and you end up with half assed results. Every splice is another opportunity for a problem. If you *have* to do it for some reason, yes, it can be done well. ... but, it's rarely something that has to be done.
