Default Short circuit somewhere
A couple of things are going on with my bike, my right rear tail light has gone out I've had to replace it 3 times over the last 3 years and the left one is still going strong, maybe that's something maybe it's not. I had some new bars put on the bike this spring and noticed the screen going dim when i was riding the other night. I don't like messing with electrical **** but I'm trying to save some money so my question is how do i go about testing to see if I can find the short. (2016 Road Glide Special).

A short won’t blow a bulb, it may blow a fuse though. Vibration will kill a bulb. Cheapie bulbs tend not to last long. Higher intensity bulbs also tend to have shorter lifespans.

Isn't the Boom screen supposed to dim at night? Mine does.
As for the rear bulb, try an led one.

Since you are not blowing fuses, check for a loose wire and make sure all grounds are tight.
