Right side passing lamp bulb keeps burning out.
I just spent another 10 bucks and maybe got two weeks out of the bulb on the right side passing lamp. If I tap the light housing it will flicker but wont stay on. Anyone know what the problem could be?
Look for frayed wire or a damaged plug. Does your bulb use spade connectors or a connector that has both wires running into it. They could be loose, this can cause a bulb to burn out over time.
Spade connectors can be replaced cheap or even lightly crimped shut a bit more.

I think its a connector with both wires running into it. Im gonna pull it apart when I get home. The bulb I took out of it seemed to rattle itself loose and would work whenever it felt like it. I fear the same happened to this bulb
I had one that would work intermittently like that. Not sure of your bike since I'm on my phone and it doesn't show that info but I pulled the socket out and noticed the wires were just a little corroded. I cleaned up the whole thing inside, rubbed it all with dielectric grease and it all worked fine after that.
Looked at it last night, Everything is tight and looks good. I found the problem though and it seems to be the vibration. The light bulb is seperating from the light bulb base where the two are soldered. Maybe I can re-solder it and make it beefier. Im gonna try that this weekend.
A friend of mine had a late 80's vintage Heritage that kept on breaking the welds on the passing lamp bar because of vibration. After rewelding it 3 times he removed it for good.
It could be that there is some type of vibration in just the right spot that is causing the issue.
