I'm wanting to change my oil but want to do it myself. Is it as easy as all my other bikes in the past as far as just opening the drain plug and draining? Swap out filters and fill her back up with 2.5q's? Now i know there's a couple tiny steps in between but that's the jist of it.
Just so you know...I just can't see forking over $300 for my first service just yet so I figured I'd at least change the oil before heading out for 8 days then drop her off at the dealer on the way home....Let me know
That’s pretty much it on an oil change. You might open the oil filler /oil level check cap or it till take for ever for it drain. If you are really interested in saving some bucks then buy the service manual and run the service jobs yourself. It is not too difficult, The manual walks you right through the whole thing.
