Default Can any1 help on a PCIII Map..??

Hi all,
I helped a buddy lastnite with a map for his fxd35. He had the pcIII installed, and updated by the only nearby dyno guy.
But overall found little power improvement, and lots and lots of popping on decel. He has V&H slip-ons, K&N air filter and 8deg injectors. (Overall, it felt similar in power to my Bob, which hasnt been updated yet for my sert.)
When I connected up and looked at his map, i could see it was the standard map from pwercommader website for standard pipes and aircleaner.!! It had only a few values tweaked, and the dyno guy is a pwercommander dealer.
To help with power we tried the pc website map for V&H longshots and SEII aircleaner, which should be a closer match, and this made a big improvement for power. However popping was still terrible. I tried pushing up the 0% and 2% TP's in increments up to 20, made an improvement, but still a lot of popping.
Can any1 offer any ideas???..any help would be appreciated.
Shouyld i look at bumping up the fuel figures some more???...initially i though the popping would be due to too much fuel in the system from the sudden throttle cutdown, but as it only reared its head after pipes and aircleaner, then it must be an air excess causing it.
here is my map...

Adding less restrictive pipes and a freer flowing air intake will indeed cause the engine to run lean and popping or backfiring on deceleration is a common symptom of a lean condition. HD has the fuel load trimmed pretty tight in order to appease the EPA and get the engine to pass the anti pollution requirements. Any changes in the system can cause problems with the fuel map. Are you sure that the “dyno guy” actually put the bike on the dynamometer. It sounds more like he just loaded the fuel map made a few guesses and called it good. If you still have a copy of the map he installed then reload it and take the bike back. If you paid for a dyno tune then he needs to do a lot better job or refund the money. You can continue to down load new maps and try to find one that seems to work best. But I would take it back and make the tuner do the job that should have done in the first place.

PS. You might check all of the connections on your exhaust setup sometimes a leak will generate a popping and backfireing type noise.

thanks for the feedback guys.
unfortunately the dyno guy had never worked on a HD before, and at least admitted that upfront. still a bit foolish of him to start with a map for original setup. dont feel good bring the bike back to him as based on what hes done so far i dont think he will have a good plan on how to fix. He has absolutely 0 HD experience of any kind.
And he the only dyno guy for a few hundered miles so i gonna try and resolve myself.
No air leaks in the pipe system for sure. or the crossover pipe.
As mikeurig suggested i am thinking the bigger injectors alright.

....Now 1 guy on this forum fixed his popping on an 06 RoadKing by adjusting pcIII up to 20, ...forget who..but thanks for the info..but he also had the ecm flash.....so just thinking now maybe i should go for 25-30 for an ecm with no flash (guessing the flash added 5 or 10....)
