Hey all, I have seen a few post of people talking about the side mount speedo made by Joker Machine. http://www.jokermachine.com/itemstre...&Placeholder=0 I emailed them asking about it. For anyone who is interested here is a copy of the emails:
Hello, I am interested in your side mount speedo. I only see one that is made for the Sportster. I was wondering if you make one that is for a 2002 Dyna Super Glide FXD? If not will the one for the Sportster work for a Super Glide? (I believe they have the same front end) If it will work will I have to modify anything so it will work? Thanks!
The reply: Bill, Right now we only have them for the Sportsters, but a lot of people have been emailing me about a Dyna version. I dont know if the Sportster will fit the Dyna. We are talking about it now. Do you want me to email you if I find something out? Thanks
Maybe if more people email them they will work harder to come up with something. If they do come up with anything I will be sure to pass it along.
I kinda likes it , my 2006 would need a bigger version of the clamp that's not a big deal, great idea about the emailing them i'm going to email them too
for the money, you can run a dakota digital. I put mine where the gas gauge goes on 04+ fxd and 04-06 fxdc models. The digital speedo I have is only 2 1/16" and has lots of gauge mounts for it, by dakota and other companies. I personally don't see how a speedo off the forks is any better than having it on the handlebar clamp.
