Sure, it has a few more miles but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a bike with 13K miles on the clock if it's been well maintained.
Plus you could save $3000 or more.
And even though it's on eBay you could always drive up there (it's not too far of a drive from Indiana) and take a look in person.
Ok, but what if I can't go see the bikes on ebay? I mean, I can't travel to Louisiana... do people just buy these bikes sight unseen??? That makes me a little nervous.
search for Bikes with-in any distance your comfortable traveling.. I found a lot of these Bikes(the newer ones)have been serviced by Harley so they have all the records. also a lot of these bikes require full payment or a down payment with-in a certain period after the auction closes. you have to be ready to move fast if you dont want to pay anything before you see the Bike. look at past feedback ask questions to the buyer post the Bike here and you are protected through Ebay. also uhaul rents Bike trailers for dirt cheap(about 20.00)....
One other thing. you can save your search and get email updates everyday showing you the Bikes that were just put up for auction.
the deals are out there BIG TIME. take your time and you will score one.

I would never buy a bike site unseen from anyone other than a dealer. People have them shipped all the time costs around $500 (more or less) depending on the distance. Had a friend who had a really nice Fat Boy, ghost flames, and had the engine punched way up there. He had to sell it to start a business. A guy drove all the way from Arkansas to Md to buy it...so go figure. I would drive a day in either direction for the right bike but take someone who knows the mechanics. Usually there's not much of an in between though; guys either take care of their bikes or they don't...you can usually tell.
I kind of like the Lows too. I saw an 05 at a local dealer - this year has the old fork set up and 88/5spd. Is the IPB an issue with these, or is that a problem caused by the 6spd 88ci combo? Any opinions on the 05 models?

I think the problem was a result of the MoCo changing the primaries themselves . In '07 they fixed the problem (from what I have read) . Also on the '06s there is/was a stator problem , just another reason to go for an '07 or newer .
