The Lowrider may well feel lighter than the Sporty due to the lower center of gravity. Good and bad since it is heavier. The advice to putt around the lot first is great - get used to it before you hit the streets and drop it stopping at a red light because you weren't expecting the weight.

Default I have to go through the dealer...

Can't do that much with a private owner and a decent dealer will care about customer sat and work with you.

The w/s is $375 new so that's a good extra.

Can't wait to see some pics!
I have to finance through Harley as I own two homes right now totaling a half million dollars (one has been for sale for a year and won't sell), so I can't finance through anyone else right now... so I'm sort of limited.

A big, wide smile just came across my face. I knew it too

My other half rides an 08 fatboy. I will definitely ride it around a bit before riding it home, especially because it's a long ride.... 1.5 hours. I may even have them deliver it for me as part of the deal...

Good luck in sealing the deal. No need to rush as you will likely get a great deal. The calendar is on your side since I don't think the dealer is selling many right now up there in Indiana in January.

I LOVE the 07 FXDL. I put a lowrider front end and wheels on my FXDB. Wish I had the tach! I am sure you can get a slightly better price. $11,500 sounds about right to me. Or have them throw in some freebies.

My two cents is have them put the delivery in the deal. You will not regret that. If you don't get anymore off the price of the bike that's ok sense you got the windshield you wanted. It's too damn cold out for a ride now. 1.5 hour ride may just do you in right now. Good Luck.

Yep, WillyW... I'm going to ask for some new grips and delivery

A long ride? I did 430 miles in 12 hours this past Saturday. I couldn't think of a better ride than taking a new bike home. That is the exciting part. Plus you get to know your ride instead of wondering while staring at it in the garrage. My two cents anyway

Go for the delivery, I bought my bike during the winter and had it delivered. I figured that I'd rather have it sit in my garage than theirs.
