So I'm still trying to find the right bike for me. The Fat Bob fits me the best of any stock bike, but I like many of the Street Bob features also. How much will different bars and forward controls make a SB fit like an FB? The biggest thing I don't like about the FB is the rear fender, is that an easy change? Does the SB fender fit? Trying to figure out which direction to go in customizing, but since the SB is a few grand cheaper it seems like the less costly place to start....
I have an '07 Bob. It's my Project Bike. From reading previous posts about fenders the WG and FBob have wider struts than the other Dynas. I had mine widened to accept a new RK fender.
I have an 09 streetbob...love my ride...I kept the stock controls but added highway pegs and passenger pegs...on really long rides, I love the 3 options my legs have...as far as changing bars...in SB this can be expensive since the top triple tree has an integrated riser (this pretty much means you're kinda stuck with some form of apes)...the only way to change bars on 09 and newer bobs is to also change the top triple tree...this can be pricy...if you're not into apes maybe the fatbob is your best bet...have a good one...
Although the integrated risers are very limiting, loner industries makes risers just for this issue. Although I'm an ape fan and could be biased.

thanks for the correction and sorry for the wrong info I gave you Monkey Boy...
I need to take a look at loner industries...good to know I have options (even though I'm still keeping my mini-apes)...
on a different note, my best friend has an '08 Fat bob...it seems to ride smoother than my bob...maybe because of the wider tires...just my opinion though...maybe someone else might feel the ride different...
I have an 07 street bob. Put a fatbob seat and handlebars on it and forward controls. So the riding position is identical. I like my front end and rear fenders better than the fatbob so with a couple mods I got exactly what I like.
