So how close are the front sigs to the ground with the bike off the jack?? Do you think you're going scrape them in a turn?? I'm thinking about doing this once I get my bars done.
That's what I was thinking when I was looking at it. I know for sure the pegs will hit first, but what if you go a little more? I just wanted to make sure. Depending on how far I get with my bars today I may get started on this.
I havent had much of a chance to do any serious leans yet because of the crappy road conditions, however the sigs are over an inch and a half tucked into the actual peg mount (not the peg itself). after review, I'm almost 100% confident they wont drag at all
If you've ever leaned low enough to drag the actual forward control (not the peg), which I doubt a lot have, if even possible, it'll be fine.
Hickey, I know that there's no inspection required in ON but are you going to get hassled by 5-0? I used to live in Bramledesh and I got pulled over routinely. Usually because of helmet issues but exhaust too. Have things gotten better since I left in '95?
We have inspections here in PA so your set-up would be gray. Sure beats the hell out my rigid Pan's turn signals... my left arm. I'd signal and people would wave back. (_o_)
I like them but you may want to invest in a couple extra covers and bulbs... If it was me the first week I had the bike out I'd get a rock through one of em....
I get pulled over quite a bit for exhaust, bars, and vertical plate. but they never seem to actually give me a ticket because none of the cops here seem to actually know the laws for mods (although I'm sure a lot do). like for the vertical plate one cop told me that it couldnt be vertical, and i quote the subsection where it said 'it must be lit and readable' and he didn't bother. none of them know the exact number for the handlebar height, they just know big is bad and wanna hassel.
sorry, quite the rant.
As for the sigs being illegal? I dont know the law on this one at all, there is probably some number where the signals have to be within a certain distance from the head light or some crap. However, the sigs work as running lights, and unlike a lot of people, I dont get right up on peoples asses, so i'm sure they be able to see the sigs.
and congrats on getting out of bramladesh. if you thought it was bad in 95', you should see it now haha.
