although I would love to take credit for the rears, there was another memeber on here who did them, dont recall who it was though, I loved the set up since day one with my bike, just took some time to get it done.
the pics attached are with textured black rattle can, they've since been powder-coated gloss to match the swing-arm. 1 hex bolt, 1 nut to lock to mount, another nut to lock to sig. Also used the running light and brake module. However, I only used the ground and sig wire, and just spiced off the running light (blue) wire.
What did you do to cover/fill the hole left from the stock rear turn signal bracket on the strut?
real nice... really cleans up the front end!!
whats the scientific consensus on mounting the signals so low, in regards to being seen...
I would remove the damn things altogether, but i ride in the big city, and i'm of the opinion that anything i can do to get that a@$%&$# thats about to turn left in front of me to NOTICE me is an advantage...
maybe it doesn't matter, and he's turning anyway, but I've read that thats why our nannys in DC have mandated the high mount third brake light in our cars...
opinions..?..
maybe it's a threadjack. if so i apologize. the mod looks sweet!!

Actually I've been told by a buddy that I can be seen clear as day and a lot better. That's through his little tiny oval mirrors too!! At night you leave a bigger foot print because the sigs reflect off the ground and light up that front wheel. They aren't much lower then sports car turn sigs and my theory is that those jackasses that turn left in front of you aren't going to see you no matter what and so stay on the defense. Oddly enough I get more people pulling out in front of my 6000 lb SUV more then when I'm on my bike. Now if they can't see that coming down the road with headlights and fog lights on the only thing we can do on our bikes is watch them.
Here's with the lights on. Out on the road at night it lights the road about a foot or two in front of the bike.

I wondered about the visibility too but when Jaron was behind me in broad daylight they were very noticeable. I've been kicking around the idea of doing this too but they mount nicely to the light bar so it's tough to get motivated to move them.
