I'm relocation/replacing my speedo from the bars and installing a 2" speedo where the fuel gauge now resides. This is an 05 FXDCI.
New speedo wires:
Orange, 12V sensor power
Black, Ground
Green, Signal
Red, to main Harness
Black, Ground to main harness
Reset swith to Ground
Old speedo wiring:
Black, Ground
Yellow/White, Fuel indicator
Lgreen/Violet, Turnsigs security Module
Brown/Violet, Security Indicator
Brown/Green, Battery Indicator
Orange, 15A fuse, Acc.
Orange/white, Front brake and Turn sig.
The wires coming from the speed sensor:
White/Green, goes to Speed sensor INPUT on ECM (33)
Red/White, goes to 5V sensor power on ECM (14)
Question: Where do I pick up the signal for the new speedo (green) on the bars... what am I missing?
I can handle the reset, the dummy lights, and the power.
Thank you!! Will check it out tonight, the white wire (signal) you are talking about may change color to White/Green somewhere. It's starting to make sense.
Old thread i know but my computer skills are not grand enough to know how to find newer post and lack the patience to figure out a dang computer. I got a drag specialty electronic mini speedo The wiers got ripped off of it. Im looking for pictures or diagram showing what wires go were. I cant find anything online i guessed at speedo wires because of markings on otherside lead me to believe im right but id like to know for sure
