So, would you recommend skipping the dealer "free" labor deal and just buy Andrews?

Are the 54's a mid range cam? I really don't want a top end, I love coming out of the hole and corners HARD..and generally don't ride over 85 mph. That is why I was thinking low/mid range cams.

54s would be perfect along with a 30 tooth pulley and you would save wear and tear on your front tire Try what sniper said ya never know if you don't ask.

For a Harley cam in a 96" the 255 SE seems to be popular. Check out other Harley forums. CVO comes to mine.

The 25 degree IVC is hard to beat for bottom end power.

Rather than type it in I just scanned the document that came with the 259e cams...

Jason if you go with the SE259s you'll have to change your valve springs. With the Andrews 54s you don't. The 54s are .550 lift

Thank you very much Steve for the scan. They look like very aggressive and strong cams, look forward to seeing your results.

Don, I really don't want to change springs...I will call the dealer and ask about the 54's and go from there. If they won't do it, I will just buy them and do it myself. Thanks a bunch all, you all helped a ton.

No headwork? Did you have it tuned or just get a new map from FM?

And...how does it feel/sound?

I can get the specs to you if you want, but i have not seen a dyno chart on these cams yet.

That btw, if they let you do it, is an astounding deal. I asked the local dealer what he'd charge for just changing the cams out: 5.5 hours @ $70 per hour=$385! They must really be slow.

Steve
check my post i just did a big bore with 259e cams. Hp 91.10 tq 101.7. Iam asking for everyones opinion and so far i have been told the numbers should be higher. But the rideabilty is great it has great torque and pulling power. But i have true duals the tuner said put 2 into 1 thunder header and the nubers will go up. I like it the way is. Anyway check it its on here.
